My Story
My journey into the heart of legal tech and innovation started as a regular law school graduate path. I started a small niche bankruptcy firm then jumped to Davis Wright Tremaine in Seattle, and then to Microsoft. The magic really started there.
There has to be a better way to do this work!
As a commercial contracts lawyer I quickly found ways to be more pragmatic, assume smart risks and standardize the work. I loved process and gravitated toward efficient ways of working.
"You're not like other lawyers" was my favorite compliment in house.
To share what I've learned more broadly, I left Microsoft and then Snowflake (where I stood up the legal operations function) to start my specialized niche consultancy www.innolawgroup.com to help corporate law departments be more efficient by revising processes, setting threshold and automating, of course. AI isthe biggest game-changer for our profession.
Now as InnoLaw Group sustains itself, I focus on engaging legal professionals to think differently about their day jobs and empower entrepreneurs in legal tech to engage with lawyers with empathy and understanding.
